"There are many forms of vitamins and minerals out there. Some of these forms of nutrients are termed ‘inactive’ meaning they are not the form that’s directly used by the body. These forms if ingested will need to be converted to their biologically active forms in order to be used. In some individuals, they have problems converting vitamins into their biologically active forms. That’s why across the board I recommend supplementing with only the most biologically active forms.
