Ingredients:

Vitamin A (as beta carotene): is a major fat-soluble antioxidant which, supports eyesight and immune function [1]. Deficiency in Vitamin A has been associated with poor adaptive immune function. Adequate Vitamin A levels have been associated with improved T-cell function and differentiation [2] [3].

Vitamin C (as ascorbic acid): Vitamin C is an important immune boosting nutrient that has a variety of functions in the body. It has shown benefits in reducing bronchial asthma, improves white blood cell activity [4], has anti-viral and anti-bacterial properties, and exerts an anti-inflammatory effect [5].

Vitamin D3 (as cholecalciferol): Vitamin D is a hormone-like vitamin which is made in the skin with adequate sun exposure but can also be taken as a supplement. Vitamin D has a wide variety of benefits in the body. Vitamin D helps modulate inflammation, boost immune function, helps repair damaged tissue, and improves resilience against viral infections. Vitamin has also been shown to be protective against cancers, auto-immune conditions, and various forms of infection [6] [7] [8].

Vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin): Vitamin B12 plays a great many roles in optimizing and maintaining health. In terms of immune function B12 has been shown to improving lymphocyte counts and Natural Killer cell function [9].

Zinc (as zinc citrate): is a metal. It is called an “essential trace element” because very small amounts of zinc are necessary for human health. Zinc is used for treatment and prevention of zinc deficiency and its consequences, including stunted growth and acute diarrhea, and slow wound healing. It is used for boosting the immune system, production of antibodies, T-cells and other blood cell activity and may improve defense against tumors [10] [11].

Selenium (as selenium glycinate): is an antioxidant that has a great many positive functions in the body. It is essential for proper immune function for T-cells, Natural Killer cells and other white blood cells. Selenium also serves as an antioxidant and helps regenerate glutathione, and has been shown to help prevent certain cancers [12]. Selenium has been shown to help prevent viral and bacterial infections. Selenium supplementation has also shown improved outcomes and improved T-cell counts in those with HIV [13] [14].

N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC): an amino acid, which is the precursor glutathione, the body’s most important antioxidant in the body [15]. NAC supports the lungs and immune function as well as the detoxification pathways of the liver [16].

Organic Astragalus (Astragalus membranaceus): A supreme immune booster, Astragalus has been used to build deep immune system resilience when used long-term. Astragalus falls into he category of herbs called Adaptogens. These herbs help make you more resistant to stress, infections, and helps recover from physical exertion. Astragalus has been used to treat colds and flus, upper respiratory tract infections, and even has positive effects on the liver [17] [18] [19]. Astragalus has also been shown to enhance the effects of chemotherapy for certain cancers [20] [21].

Organic Echinacea (root) (Echinacea angustifolia): Echinacea has been widely used for helping treat and prevent colds and flus [22], which are caused by viral infections. Several studies have shown that Echinacea can reduce the risk of catching a cold by 50% [23], and can shorten the duration of colds [24]. Extracts of Echinacea seem to positively influence activity of certain white blood cells called macrophages The Mayo clinic has even researched this herb and has found good evidence for its use in colds and flus [25].

Organic Ashwaganda (Withania somnifera): Ashwagandha has been shown to ease agitation and feelings of worry. Its ability to stabilize moods and boost adrenal recovery is highly valued by many herbalists. Ashwaganda has been heavily researched and been shown to have potent anti-cancer effects [26] [27] [28]. Withania has also been shown to have many other immune boosting properties [29].

Organic Elderberry (fruit) (Sambucus nigra): Elderberry has long been used to treat upper respiratory tract infections like colds, flus, and sinusitis [30] [31] Modern research has validated that use in the flu, showing antiviral effects that help speed recovery up to four days faster than those not taking Elderberry [32].

Organic Maitake Mushroom (Grifola frondosa): Maitake is an important Asian medicinal mushroom with centuries of use. Extracts of Maitake have been shown to have potent immune stimulating properties [33] as well as anti-cancer activity [34]. Maitake has been shown to increase activity of two important white blood cells, neutrophils and monocytes as well a natural killer cells [35] [36].

Organic Reishi Mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum): Reishi mushroom is Traditional Asian medicine that has been used extensively over thousands of years. Historically it has been used to help improve energy, immune function, memory, liver diseases, viral infections and cancer. Modern research has shows extracts of Reishi to be immune-modulating, anti-viral, antioxidant, anti-bacterial, hepatoprotective, and anti-cancer [37] [38] [39] [40].
