Addiction is very deadly. Almost everyone knows someone who has been addicted or who has lost their life to addiction. What starts out as a legit reason for pain medication can quickly take over and consume one's life. For those taking it recreationally like I did, you are literally playing Russian roulette every time you use. Nothing compares to the way opiates made you feel the first time you tried them. Most addicts continue using trying to reach that first time feeling again. Due to tolerance from opiates, reaching that "first time feeling" gets harder and harder as an addict's use increases. The problem is that you will never be able to reach that feeling again, and many addicts risk their lives trying to.
I speak with thousands of people per year. People from all walks of life call me. Many are shocked that I actually take the time to answer the phone. I understand that it is not easy to reach out to a complete stranger from the internet. What makes me happy is that many people feel comfortable with me because they feel like they already know me. I do my best to show who I am and what I am about in my Youtube channel and I love being able to help people in the process.
What I wish I could achieve is the ability to answer every single person. Between phone calls, emails and texts, it has gotten to a point that some days are just not possible. I have to work, spend time with my family and take care of business. Most people understand that I'm only one guy and that is why I try to connect people to FreeFromHell.com for more support. The people on FreeFromHell are amazing. They really care for others and it makes me so proud to see what it has turned into.
I chose to put myself out there in the public and I would never take back that decision. It has empowered me and given me the opportunity to touch the lives of people that most of society can not relate to. People ask me all the time why I do it and I don't really have a direct answer. I enjoy talking to others and helping. I enjoy the feeling that I can make an impact in this world. By far, that is the most rewarding experience.
I want to thank everyone who has supported me over the past few years and for the opportunity to be a part of your lives. May you all be blessed with a healthy and clean 2015.
From my family to yours, Happy New Year.
